Using each and every single one of these rhetorical appeals, the audience is given ample information on the repercussions that texting while driving can cause. Despite having a weaker use of logos, the appeal still works in the ad because it is complimented and strengthened through the use of the pathos, ethos, and Kairos to convey the message that texting while driving is dangerous. One of the strongest appeals that helps to support logos, was the expert use of pathos. Through pathos, the ad organization is able to connect with teenage drivers by confronting their most vulnerable point – their emotions. Teenagers tend to be very emotional because of the point of life that they’re at is a difficult phase between puberty, becoming an adult,
For example, in the commercial it says, “Every hour an animal is beaten or abused.” This fact is pretty straight forward and it gives you that sense of feeling that you could help what’s happening to these animals and eventually put a stop to it. Another fact that is presented is, “For only $18 a month you can rescue an animal and provide it with food and medical needs.” The logos in this commercial contributes a lot because it adds in some heartbreaking facts that it makes people want to help out. But this commercial should have incorporated more logos, such as statistics.
This creates a sense of uneasiness with the audiences who have viewed this advertisement. By creating this discomfort, spectators are more likely to not only remember this commercial, but to veer away from these types of

Advertisements are everywhere, whether it be on the walk to the park or scrolling through my Instagram feed. They control the way we think and heavily impact the way we spend money, to do that advertisers use ethos, pathos, and/ or logos. When ethos is used on an advertisement often times, celebrities are modeling with the product because people tend to trust familiar faces. When pathos is intended to be in use, the advertisement tends to target the audience’s emotions and is often a sad ad. When logos is in use, the ad states statistics because people side with factual information.
Final “Driving While Stupid” written by Dave Barry explains to his readers why Miami, Florida is the most dangerous place to drive in in the world because of the reckless drivers. Though it is not a fact that Miami has the most dangerous drivers, he explains why he believes it could be the most dangerous by telling the readers the experiences he has been in in many other places. The way he gets his argument across is by using many different hyperboles to emphasis the main point of this short story. Thank you for an informative paper. What troubles me about methadone treatment is how it is a substitute for another narcotic. It is sad about heroin addicts that do not want to get off their narcotic dependence. However, I do not feel that methadone is the answer because it is replacing one narcotic for another; although they have less craving.

Therefore, it is of the advertisers and marketing team of that product that initially have the ideas that influence
Methamphetamine and cocaine are both in the same category of drugs known as stimulants. Meth is completely man-made and is manufactured using common household and industrial ingredients such as over-the-counter cold/allergy medicines, drain cleaner, battery acid, gun cleaner, gasoline additives, muriatic acid, ammonia, lye, acetone and litter. Cocaine on the other hand is naturally occurring and is harvested from the leaves of the cocoa plant. While they are two entirely different drugs, both meth and cocaine have risks associated with their use, and have very high rates of dependence, abuse, and addiction. However, there are very distinct differences between cocaine and meth, in terms of how these drugs affect the individual both physically and psychologically.
