Public school expenses consist of school supplies, facualty and staff salaries, and extracurriculars. Public school expenses mostly derives from the salaries for the faculty and staff. This cost is one that tax payers are burden with paying throughout the year. This is not an expense of home schools as the children attending home school are typically taught by their parent or parents.

b. For instance, the average salary for an educator is 40,000 a year whereas there is no cost association in the form of a salary for parents who educate their children ("The Cost of Homeschooling").

c. There are several factors that contribute to the mounting cost of attending a public school versus home school. As these expenses enhance the academic quality decrease

In addition to the staff salary, the cost to render a public school education to a child is 10,000 a year per student whereas the cost for a home school education is less than 500 dollars per year a student ("The Cost of Homeschooling"). This cost does not include all miscellaneous expense that increase yearly.

In public schools there are several dilemmas safety being the first. Public school safety concerns are those concerns that affect the safety of individuals with the public school sector. School safety hazards range from bullying to trepassing and shootings. School violence is steadily increasing and becoming more of a problem all over the United States.

c. School violence has both physical and mental effects on all involved especially the students. Some physical effects school violence has on those involved are depression, anixiety and shame (Byrne). In addition to the other effects school violence has on those involved, it can sometimes generate agression disorders for students who witness and or participate. Students who witness school violence typically suffer with agression disorder and in turn become agressive and violent in the future(Byrne).

d. During the 2006-2007 school year there were more than 31 violents deaths, these violent deaths included homicids and sucides involving students and staff (Bidwell). For all involved with public education there is continued anxiety as to which school campus will be palgued
