The people of England welcomed King James I greatly when he rose to power, but the commoners lost respect for him quickly (The Elizabethan Era 1). A thousand mourners showed their respect to Queen Elizabeth when they showed up to her funeral (The Elizabethan Era 1). There were fights and riots between Catholic and Protestant leaders and their followers when King James I took the crown of ruler from Queen Elizabeth (The Elizabethan Era 1). King James I was not the best leader (The Elizabethan Era 1). The people of England welcomed King James I greatly when he rose to power, but lost his respect fast (The Elizabethan Era 1). Everyone that attended the funeral was deeply upset and wanted to show much they loved her by showing as much love as they can (The Elizabethan Era 1). The people of England were very sad and disappointed about her death. They were wondering if King James I was as good of a leader as Queen Elizabeth.
