Statement of problem for RPZ
RPZ Marketing and Genafleck have recently merged to form RPZ. This merger is a promising mix of longstanding traditional advertising methods and fresh new social media marketing. The new board for RPZ now faces a difficult tightrope of maintaining current clients, handling the surge of new clients, and making sure that employees are engaged while minimizing burn out. RPZ needs to find a balance before completely dropping the ball.

For new clients the sales representative that closes the deal should be the team leader. The operations manager will help team leader’s select team members and each team will vary in size based off of the clients’ needs(Buhler, 2011). To help team cohesion all employees will be designated as Marketing Specialists (MS) and will then have different competencies. Competencies will be assigned based off of the MS’ strengths. For example a former Genefleck employee would most likely have competencies in television, print, and radio advertising. A former RPZ marketing employee would most likely have competencies in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This would allow our Marketing Specialists to work on several different teams and ensure that RPZ is maximizing their creativity …show more content…
If a client wants to run campaigns on television, Facebook, and Twitter then the team leader and operations managers will be able to narrow down the possible Marketing Specialists’ to those fields. Then the team leader will use their best judgment on which specific employee works well with the other employees to from the new team. Consideration should be kept in mind with what other teams the Marketing Specialist is on in order to prevent burn
