The policies of the Stolen Generations were an injustice for the Aboriginal and Torres’ Strait Islander peoples affected because they were deprived of their culture and separated from their families, causing great emotional pain. Through the use of the close up on his face and the dim lighting, his expression is extremely emotionless and blank as he is looking over papers that will drastically change and destroy people's lives. This shows us that he has no regard or empathy for the stolen generation and he is accustomed to taking children away from their families. It is evident that the government's carelessness for First Nations individuals caused extreme psychological damage to the parents that had their children unjustly taken away. To summarize, children of The Stolen Generation had their sense of belonging and emotional support from their families taken away due to the government and A.O. Neville's inhumane actions. This led to years of severe agony and trauma for First Nations people. The unjust practice of removing children from their families results in a significant loss of culture.
