The short story “The Most Dangerous Game’’, Rainsford was justified in killing General Zaroff . Rainsford is a hunter who fell off a yacht at Ship Trap Island where he meets General Zaroff. General Zaroff is a hunter too. He stays on the island and hunts. Rainsford and General Zaroff are fighting to their death because General Zaroff wants to hunt Rainsford.
In the story “The Most Dangerous Game,” Rainsford was guilty of cold blooded murder when he killed General Zaroff. Rainsford is a man that fall off a boat and landed on an Island called “Ship Trapped Island.” Rainsford heard a gunshot so he knows someone else is there. This when Rainsford mate General Zaroff, General Zaroff is a man who got tired of hunting animals so he hunts humans. Rainsford and General Zaroff ended up in a kill or be killed situation.
This compares to how Miss. Strangeworth believes forcefully changing people so they won't have the capability of evil and the townspeople just want to live their lives without Miss. Strangeworth's unnecessary forced changes in their lives. In the end of 'The Most Dangerous Game' Rainsford kills Zaroff so Zaroff will no longer be able to hunt humans.
One would think the general is talking about hunting animals with Rainsford when he is actually talking hunting Rainsford himself. It is also ironic when General Zaroff is described as “civilized”. In “The Most Dangerous Game” Rainsford is a character that is a very good hunter. So one day him and his buddy's went out on a yacht and went out on the sea to go to the caribbean to look for this island to hunt Jaguars. But while on a yacht he feel of the boat and fell into the sea. Moving on he was on this Island and met this General.
Both Rainsford and Zaroff share common passions, skills and ideology. Initially, there is admiration between both characters, but their similarities become the cause of the conflict. Rainsford murders Zaroff and has put an end to the murderous human

Most people when they hear “The Most Dangerous Game” they think of bull riding or other dangerous games that don’t involve death. “The Most Dangerous Game” is a suspenseful cliff hanging story that follows the days of a castaway on the island of a crazed hunter. Rainsford is a big game hunter who falls off a boat near the island of General Zaroff, a big Cossack general who is looking for an alternative to hunting dangerous animals but with a twist. Throughout “The Dangerous Game” Rainsford and General Zaroff both show examples of IRony and exert arrogance.
