Don’t Raise the Minimum Wage:
If we were to raise the federal minimum wage we would experience an assortment of problems afterward. We would see obstacles such as people staying at the minimum for the rest of their lives, elimination of the amount of jobs that are at minimum wage, and it could have a slight economic inflation on business’s products. Imagine if you come home after work, heavy knowing you had to tell your family that you were laid off. You were all excited because there was going to be a higher wage, but in order to pay for all the other workers they had to cut from yours. With a higher minimum wage this could be a familiar occurrence. What will happen in ten years when people decide that we need to raise the wage again? We will need to yet again meet these same problems, where are we supposed to draw the line. We must decide now that we should keep the minimum wage where it is currently so we won’t need to deal with any new problems.
Raising the minimum wage would give people the idea that they can allow themselves to stay there for the rest of their lives. If the minimum wage was to increase, people would get a more supportive budget then would feel as though they could continue to support themselves. We should always think of ways to

I too believe that this would contribute to less jobs at the minimum wage level. A business must somehow have the money to support a higher income. One of the only ways to do this is through laying off workers. When a business has a larger number of workers the amount of money that the workers are paid is less because you have the same amount of money to give either way. This just depends on where and how much you spend it. At least at this point in time more people are getting some money, if we were to raise the minimum wage less people would have a higher amount of income.
