What makes a good leader? Well that’s really a simple question to answer, a leader has many traits such as they are responsible, trustworthy, caring, and willing to go out of their way to help others. For you sports fanatics a leader would be a quarterback someone who leads others rather a win or a loss. I wish I could say that’s what we are here to discuss but that’s not the case in this essay the leader we are here to discuss is Ralph from the book of the Lord of the Flies author William Golding. Ralph, Ralph is a noble young boy who is stranded on an island with other young boys. Ralph was voted leader by all the people on the island, note that all the people are children. Ralph is a good leader he did and discussed to those who he was leading on what they needed to do to be rescued and survive while they were stranded he told them that they must keep a fire going to make smoke to lead to their rescue. Who would you have followed if you were in the novel you may ask. Well I would have followed Ralph by far me and him, have so many traits in common and we think a lot alike the first thing I would have done was lit a fire as a distress signal that’s the number one priority at all times Ralph thought so as well and he made sure everybody knew it as well.
