Ray Bradbury was a science fiction fantasy author. Bradbury was born August 22, 1920, in Waukegan, Illinois. Bradbury had a pleasant childhood, which he describes in several novels. Bradbury decided to become a writer around the age of 12 or 13. Bradbury’s family moved to Los Angeles in 1934.
In the novel Farenheight 451, Guy Montag meets a girl names Clarisse. She was no ordinary girl. She broke the rules, defied the government all the way until her death. By this I mean she was creative. The government was so ruling you could not read any books.
Now Ray Bradbury was also an author. They both were in their careers during the same time period, but Ray Bradbury helped with some screen plays to go along with writing books. He is also known for being responsible for bringing science fiction in to the thing that it is today. One of the novels he wrote was Fahrenheit 451, where he attempted to predict what the United States of America would look like in the future. The novel illustrates the idea of a totalitarian government and society burning books to stop the spread of knowledge, by following the development of the main character Guy Montag. Furthermore, the novel bring up the idea of Plato’s cave, in which Montag attempts to overcome the ideas of the society he grew up around.

The topic of the poster is of course about books and how you can’t own any books in the 451 society. As you can see, we wrote «For the safety of your family, give us your books or we will burn them». We also drew a hand giving the books and a hand with books burning. What we tried to do is manipulate these people by telling them that they have a choice. We want to put them on our side but also scare them.

Montag begins to learn the truth about his society when he realizes that what he is doing is wrong. The society in which Montag lives is cursed with not knowing the truth. He is a fireman and burns books for a living. He thinks nothing of it and strangely finds it enjoyable. "It was a pleasure to burn.
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” This Malcom X quote accurately describes Montag’s goal in restoring society. The main character, Guy Montag, starts off the story as an innocent and cooperative citizen. As the story progresses, there are multiple events that transform Montag into an angry and rebellious man. Montag's development contributes to the overall themes of individualism and rebellion against unjust societal norms.
One thing that really bothered or annoyed me was the fact that Bradbury used “man” instead of putting “person. Like were all books written by men?Other than that, I personally think this quote is really extensive because it shows how Montag shows guilt, I like how it compares a lifetime of work for writing certain books, and takes nothing but two minutes to destroy. In this society books are portrayed as being unacceptable. This society has a odd way of viewing everything. I think that television and movies are a much simpler investment in this society, If you think about it this society is kinda similar in a way to present day society, SO many people think that books are tedious but in reality they are just too lazy to search for a book that
Ray Bradbury is a good writer because he comes up with a well-developed theme/setting with the use of different things. For example in the short story “The Pedestrian” he uses a bunch of literary devices such as internal conflict, static character and more. In “The Pedestrian” leonard mead who is fighting his loneliness by walking but when a copcar sees him it takes him to a psychiatric center but before this happened he despised technology because he said that it ruins people's lives and makes them depreciate the world around them. The author of “the pedestrian“ Ray Bradbury uses many writing techniques to better his story by using them to develop his theme and mood. Furthermore these, examples show that Ray Bradbury is a good writer because he comes up with a well-developed theme/setting with the use of different things.

Bradbury’s writing is unique in a way unlike any other science fiction, one reason being that he does not consider his writing to be science fiction. His unique writing style gives Bradbury something to stand out starkly against other authors of this genre. Bradbury depicts a scary future in most of his stories, in an effort to prevent them from happening- something that requires a superior writing ability.
