On the above date and time I was conducting an area check of the the Ridge Road Center plaza. While behind the plaza, I observed a white, 4 door Mercury occupied by three white males. The vehicle was located in the back of the plaza next to a closed store. As I passed the vehicle all four males continued to stare at me. Concerned that the driver, or passengers may have a medical emergency, or a disabled vehicle, I proceeded to pull behind the vehicle without my lights or sirens activated to inquire.
Thanks to the efforts of a Putnam County Highway worker, a 25-year-old woman survived a February 11 crash. The woman was rounding an icy curve when she lost control of her vehicle, going down an embankment, hitting into a tree, and flipping her vehicle into a foot of water. The woman was upside-down in the icy water for at least five minutes before the man saw the vehicle and acted quickly to save the woman. While a vehicle submerged in water is one of the less common car accident scenarios, it is important to know how to safely exit your vehicle when in the water. First, remain calm and act quickly.
As explained in the article “The Case for Working with Your Hands” by Matthew B. Crawford, we don’t only have regular classes in school, but also shop classes that have an artificial learning environment where we learn through kinesthetic learning. We have those classes because there are jobs in the world that are hands on. For instance, when something goes wrong with a car people don’t just go out and buy a new one. They take the car to an auto-mechanic
To have me put my best work out front. And to have my eyes be scanners to memorize and save all of what you’re teaching. To Store in my hard drive to use for future reference.
Dirt Bike Catastrophe Some four years ago on a small loop road, county road 355, hidden somewhere in the weeds was a convolution maze of dirt bike trails. It couldn’t have been but six months since my step brother, Austin and I started riding dirt bikes daily. We were nothing short of motocross eligible teenagers, jumping feet off the ground, sliding every turn, and being so dirty at the end of the day that two showers were necessary. All of these things changed very suddenly in a wreck that changed our lives.
These students will just rely on their inadequacy of knowledge to conform to mediocrity and get sidetracked in their path. This is why the creativity in lesson plans is an essential requirement for any teachers. Textbooks will only bring one perspective to a matter, formulas and definitions will become less exciting if they are only understood in one way. Still, there are teachers that devote their time to excite their students brains on these seemingly boring knowledge, one example of them are the author’s senior English teacher, Mr Jack McFarland. The author
Have you ever failed a test because you didn’t read something? I did. In 7th grade a test that I had to read a book for. I kept telling myself “since it’s open book I don’t have to read nothing. I’ll just look for the answers when the test comes.”
Another solution is ATV safety courses. ATV safety training enhances your understanding of basic ATV operation and safe riding techniques(ATV Safety Techniques). When you know and understand safe riding techniques you can avoid hazard situations that could result in accidents. ATV courses cover safe riding techniques with hands on exercises and other concerns such as the environment, local laws, and protective gear(ATV Safety Training). Nevertheless, the problem with this solution is that not many people attend this course because it’s not required of you.
At my house I made a track . My grandma is watching me Ride my dirt bike and I wrecked into the yard Barn . The reason I wrecked into the yard Barn is because I ran and to wasn't paying attention . I broke the things that help you turn and the tire popped and now I got to get a new Dirt Bike tube . my dirt bike .
All throughout the majority of my high school career I have watched all different kinds of public service announcements. The high school system loves to incorporate these multitudes of videos to try to convey a message. As a high school student I can confidently say that neither me nor my peers can learn from or relate to these videos. In driver 's education and health class every highschooler has to watch these public service announcements on stopping distracted driving. The videos that the school provides are often completely outdated and make you wonder if the tragedy at hand actually happened to the people poorly acting in each of the videos.
As a new young driver, how should I act if the police pulled me over? Many parents warn their child on how to react to this situation, but what will African-American parents say to their child(ren)? They will give them detailed descriptions, so their child can come home safe and unharmed. The child is told to act responsibly, answer directly to the officers, comply with the officer(s) and say; yes sir/ma’am and no sir/ma’am. With the amount of killings of innocent African-Americans, whether they were driving or not, this is a major problem.
What is the point of going to school and memorizing lessons that we will forget after the test if they don 't stick to our brains? We need to be knowledgeable, persistent, self-driven to make sure we ourselves understand the lesson at hand. Test affect a student 's self-confidence as well, if we pass it 's a win-win but if we fail we lose a little bit of hope we had about what we knew. We doubt ourselves and that is not a pleasant
The correct way of learning new knowledge that will actually be remembered and learned is through this process. As a teacher or advisor, you always want your student to never get bored or fail to pay attention. Having them actively engaged, like answering questions or filling in a worksheet as you teach will increase the memory of the new knowledge. This isn't just for teachers and schools but, this is used in every activity of teaching new knowledge. This can be as easy as teaching how to ride a bike or even how to brushing their teeth.
Lessons in class are rushed and left unfinished due to the tight time restraints placed upon teachers. They are given an inadequate amount of time to teach the excessive amount of material given to them to cover and, more often than not, they fall behind in their lesson plan, leaving them unable to teach all of the topics in each of their classes. Teachers struggle in reciting the entire lesson within the given time. With the extra fifteen to twenty minutes on their hands they could
Self-testing can be done in many different kind of manners, including solving questions and doing exercises at the end of each studying or revising session, using actual or virtual flashcards to stimulate memory or even rewriting notes on subjects without referring to references other than the students’ own brain. However, no matter the effectiveness of self-testing, like any other learning technique, this method can prove to be ineffective if used wrongly. The objective of this method is to encourage the
