VR produces lots of positives and negatives for human life. In the book “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline, their earth is completely taken over by Virtual Reality. VR does bring a couple of good changes for humans like easier sociality and communication, but in of all those changes most of them negatively affect humans because VR brings serious issues to humans like making them lazier, and dependent on virtual reality. VR is good for people because it makes humans a lot more lazier than they would be if it didn’t exist. A good use that VR offers is that you can make a lot more new friends since you don't actually have to be present there to connect with them. There is lots of good, however they don't overpower the bad things VR brings out in humans like how a VR headset makes humans depend on the virtual world more then the real world. The more people own a VR headset, the more they stop caring about the real world and depend on the virtual world to give them joy. The book shows how people rely on the headset when “being human totally sucks most of the time” Wade starts neglecting his real life and loving his virtual life the more time he puts into the OASIS. People really don't gain much at all when they put all those hours into video games because they never really translate to real life. More evidence of the VR just ruining your real life “realized, as terrifying and painful as reality can be, it's also the only place where you can find true happiness” The quote states how bad of a place real life can be but sometimes it will still benefit you more then the Virtual world ever
