Alice Morse Earl, an American Historian and devoted author once said, “ The clock is running. Make the most of today.Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. That is why we call it the present. “ Power-hungry, committed, and wise Chandra Levy traveled to Washington for the sole purpose of being an intern at the Federal Bureau in Septemeber of 2000. First things first, Guandique was a resident only a short distance from Rock Creek Park, where Chandra’s remains were found and he did not come to work the day she disappeared (Helena). Two women Guandique physically assaulted, weeks apart, same park, and just feet away from Levy’s decomposed corpse; he was detained 45 minutes later from the attack on Wiegand (Miller). This demonstrates how aggressive and consistent he was and how surprising it would not be even if prosecutors had direct evidence. In time, Armando Morales, a Jailhouse informant stated that Guandique told him, “homeboy I killed the *****, but I did not rape her” (Higham). Guandique was charged with the murder of Levy in 2010, but charges were later dropped due to the belief that Morales’s testimony was made up. Because of this the case disintegrated and the charges against him were dropped, but, he did face deportation back to his home in El Salvador (Kennedy).
