Reasons To Be On A Boy-Girl Basketball Team

If you were a girl, would you want to be on a boy-girl basketball team? I wouldn't, and that is why I believe that boys and girls should not be able to play on the same team. I say this because, it makes a wider range of teams, boys and girls bodies are built differently, and sports were made to be split up into boys and girls.

First off, there are lots of teams in the sports world, but ,if you combine boys and girls, that would cut down on the amount of teams for people to cheer for, or play for. It would be easier for someone to make it on an all-girl or an all-boy team than to make it on a coed team. That being said, combining these athletes together would also cause an overflow of people on the team and make some people be forced quit. Also, it would make it harder to get a scholarship when there is only one team for boys and girls. Which it's always been two separate teams, and you've only had to compete against one gender for a scholarship.Although some people say that it would be unfair to not have a team for boys and girls, I think it would prevent a great amount of people on one team. …show more content…

For example, the average girl is more flexible than the average boy, which would make it harder for boys to do girls gymnastics events.Being flexible is necessary when it comes to gymnastic events like the floor, power tumbling, and even the beam.
