Reasons Why Gay People Should Be Allowed To Have Children

In my essay I will state my opinion on the topic of whether or not gay people should be allowed to have children. I picked this topic as I feel very strongly towards it. I believe that gay people should be allowed to have children and these are my reasons why:
My first reason for believing that gay people should be allowed to have children is that gay parents tend to raise more open-minded and tolerant children. This belief has been studied by many and shows the positives of having gay parents and when researching the topic online there are many quotes and statements from people who were adopted or born into families with same-sex parents or at least one parent who is gay/lesbian/ect. One male with a lesbian mother openly stated how he felt more accepting for how he was raised:
"I feel I 'm a more open, well-rounded person for having been raised in a non-traditional family, and I think those that know me woul agree. My mom opned me up to the positive impact of differences in people."
With the parents of the child being, what some see as, 'out of the ordinary ', the children are raised with a positive outlook on people of all backgrounds and upbringings and taught from a young age to accept people for who they are.
My second reason for believing gay people should be allowed to have children is that children with gay parents are much less likely to be forced into gender stereotypes. It 's been shown through research that families with opposite sex parents are more likely to
