ABSTRACT
The Internet and the World Wide Web have brought many changes that provide huge benefits, in particular by giving people easy access to information that was previously unavailable, or simply hard to find. Unfortunately, these changes have raised many new challenges in the security of computer systems and the protection of information against unauthorized access.

When we consider the same case in a technological perspective and digital world, its becoming tough day by day to protect our valuables that is in the form data.
In today’s world, no matter what the field of study is, everyone uses computer to store their data, which is confidential. Almost every organization relies on computers to store useful information and process the data they had. Even our medical records depend on software for security. Therefore, it is important for the information on the computer to be stored secured. It is also extremely important for people on computers to protect their computer from data loss, misuse and abuse.

RECENT SECURITY BREACHES:
The following are the recent security breaches that came across news.
• Hackers at Target Stores:
It is surprising to know the security breach at target stores in Dec 2013. Where target customers became victims of a credit card breach. Target fixed the issue internally and In addition credit card companies also responded to the breach and issued new cards to anybody who made a purchase at target stores in that time frame. In article “Heartbleed Not Only Reason For Health Systems Breach”, Peter (2014) talks about how an intrusion occurred at Community Health Systems (CHS) a couple of months after the heartbleed vulnerability became public. Also she stated “Vulnerable parties [were advised] to not only upgrade to a new version of OpenSSL, but also revoke encryption keys, issue new encryption keys, and make users change their passwords.” Since all the users does not follow all the guidelines and re-issuing of the security keys turned out to be a time consuming task, CHS remained open to the vulnerability and fell victim to it. Dr. Vicent Berk, the CEO of FlowTraq says, “I can only imagine how many other ways to get in there are...
