Reflection: How To Be A Better Canadian Citizen

This civics unit has taught me a lot of things from how to be a better Canadian, what global citizenship is, the qualities of a leader (and if I have those qualities), How to improve my leadership skills, etc. Overall this course has impacted my life in many ways and has shown me ways I can become an active and contributing citizen One of the many things this course has taught me is how to be a better Canadian Citizen and a better global citizen. I have learned that I can be a better Canadian citizen by participating in all sort of things around my community, and when I am older to do things like: vote for the people thing will make the most difference, voice my concerns and try to change things for the better. Apart from how to help my community this course has also shown me things that benefit me. By having me research leaders of the world I have seen the skills they possess and made me wonder if I have any of these skills in myself. After some research here are some skills that I have found that Leaders tend to possess: Strategic/Critical thinker (Coming up with plans using available resources and personnel), Determination, Open to differences, Patience, Determination. I also believe that I have some of these skills yet could still further improve on them by participating in things where I take a leadership role. …show more content…
