Many students have learning disabilities that can affect them in many ways weather being writing focusing on a task at hand, standing up to people, talking backwards, having to make things perfect and many more. But there can be a disadvantage to all that. Having certain learning disabilities can be treated unfairly in certain schools like being separated from kids that might help them, or being treated like little children. When in reality being with “normal” kids might help them more.sometimes their needs are met and sometimes they are not. Which that is what this report is all about.
For many years, there has been a conspiracy theory going around stating that the CIA is responsible for the birth of AIDS. Many Americans are choosing to believe that the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) injected African-Americans and homosexuals with this deadly disease many, many years ago. This conspiracy theory started in 1980 and is still around a decade later. With known facts that the CIA definitely is questioned about their integrity to our nation, I find it very hard to believe that they have the intelligence and darkness to create a disease that’s incurable and purposely pass it on to only African-Americans and homosexuals. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Briona Mcall, as your child’s new teacher in K-2 CDC special education class. I was recently hired at Holston View Elementary School as Mrs. McMurray is moving to Hong Kong to teach special education. We are excited for her and wish her the best. The first observation was conducted on August 30th at 9:00 a.m., while the student was participating in the special education resource room. The observation took place for a total of 25 minutes. For the duration of the observation the student was seated at a small table working one-on-one with the special education teacher. Along with the student being observed and the special education teacher, two other students, as well as, two paraprofessionals were in the special education resource room during the observation time. One student and paraprofessional were working one-on-one at a small table, while the other student was sitting in a bean bag chair reading a book.

I feel comfortable with my knowledge of disabilities and their educational considerations, but I worry about my ability to implement, especially in a general classroom. I fear having to severely differentiate instruction for students with special needs while still providing a lesson fitting the educational needs of the general classroom. I also worry about my ability to identify students with special needs. I know identification is a multi-layered, multi-person procedure, but I worry that I will mix up struggling students with students with special needs. So with these fears in mind, my goals are to practice creating lesson plans that include differentiation for students with special needs and to learn more about the identification process through observation and interviews.
Classroom Observation Reflection Abrar Hilal University of Oklahoma Tuesday, February 12 Classroom Observation Reflection Special Education Classroom Report The special education classroom that I observed, included the main teacher, two teacher assistants, and ten students with Developmental Delays. The main teacher uses technology to aid the students to learn easy and faster. A smart board is present in the classroom, but the teacher doesn 't use it often as she prefers to use her own handouts and her specially created activities. I think this is effective as she can modify activities better and so that the students benefit from that personalized touch.
According to Ripley, S. (1998), traditionally, special education teachers worked with students in a self-contained environment as well as the general education teachers worked in a room alone. However, overtime, learning disabled students more and more are being included in regular education classes. Therefore, the need for collaboration between the regular education teacher and the special education teacher continues to grow. Today, many schools are setting up cooperative teaching programs that team a special education teacher with a team of regular education teachers in order to reach all students and have them all benefit from the same lesson plans. Now, I realize that a student needing special education does not automatically mean that they will need help with everything and have an extremely difficult time learning. Most of the students I observed did not seem any different than the students not in special education. They just needed extra help in certain subjects. They picked up on the material much more quickly than I had thought they would and were able to do more on their own than I had originally thought. Before this class and project, I also did not think about the fact that students with special needs often stay in the general education classroom as well as working in the special education
One most important tip is for teachers should educate themselves and learn as much as they can about intellectual disabilities. There are some techniques and strategies that teachers can also use to support children educationally. First teachers must recognize that they can make a difference in student’ lives by finding out what their strengths and interests are, focus on them, and create opportunities for success. Teachers must also be concrete as possible by demonstrating what they mean rather than giving directions verbally and tasks that are longer in steps should be broken down into smaller steps and provide assistance when necessary. As it relates to student skills, teachers should teach life skills such as social skills and occupational awareness and exploration by involving students in group or club activities.
In regular education classrooms the majority of the time students receive whole-group instructions. Their methods of instructions consist in lectures, discussions, case studies, writing, group projects, public reviews, and independent student projects. In contrast, different instructional techniques are used for some students with special educational needs. Instructional strategies are classified as being either accommodations or modifications. An accommodation is a reasonable adjustment to teaching practices so that the student learns the same material, but in a format that is more accessible to the student.
It was the day that I’ve been waiting for over 3 years. A day that would finally let me be normal like everyone else and have the choices as other people without being ridiculed by the teachers that saw me as unqualified to be taught in a standard way. Thanks to my mom thinking that it would be a marvelous idea to have me be placed in special education due to my lack of effort taking reading comprehension test. I was placed in special education at the end of 5th grade, and sought to see the end of it. That day would eventually come on early April of 2015, where I was called upon to the office during class in 8th grade.
