Reflection On My Writing

Looking back at the writing I have produced throughout this course, I am able to see the areas where I continue to grow and the places that have yet to reach its full potential. By analyzing my writing, this has helped me become aware of my strengths, but also notify me of my weaknesses that need improvement. I have come along way as a writer since enrolling in this course, but there still is room for plenty of improvement. Over this past course, I have found the correct things that have worked for me and the wrong ones that do not. Some of the strategies that have worked well are creating a descriptive outline. A strategy that is not working for me, is I usually wait to write my papers till a short period before their due date. I am now realizing that feeling the pressure to just get it done is not the best idea. By waiting to write until the last minute has made my papers feel rushed, not fully developed to their potential, and not proofread accurately. This has made my results not as great as they could have been. Many of the writing skills I honed in on were enhancing my vocabulary and developing a better product. When I recently wrote my analyzing essay for my book, I focused really hard on replacing vague words with ones that were more descriptive and would catch the reader’s attention. I also tried to develop a better products by being more specific on details and giving good explanations. My strengths as a writer have been grammar. I always use paperrater and I have my mother proofread all my papers. I hate reading papers that have grammar and spelling errors all over the place, so I do the best to try an make sure mine is not like that. I preference writing where I get to pick my
