Graduation project so far has not been too terribly bad. I have realized that I need to manage my time better but I am able to get away with procrastinating because I only have one class at Laney, my other class is at Cape Fear twice a week. So far I have selected a topic, took notes from sources, created an outline, conducted an interview and typed my research paper.
I decided to do my senior project on the benefits of youth golf. I decided to do this because I enjoy playing golf and am on the golf team. I also have connections with people who have a career around the game of golf and one of my friends is on the UNCW golf team. I thought it would be a topic that I would enjoy and so far that has proven to be correct.
Once I selected a topic I had to research the topic, take notes, interview someone and create an outline. This was probably my least favorite part because the 60 notecards were a little much. I believe that we should have to complete 20 note cards then decide if we would like to continue using the note cards. I felt like I was just writing pointless notes down just so I could have 60 cards, I only used about 20 in my paper. Also the interview was stressful but

Ms. Jones helped get me started by editing my first few pages because they were rough. Once I saw how she wanted me to write the paper I just started typing away. I decided to complete the paper a few pages a night and I was really glad that I did that because I was never stressed out because of my paper. I actually think my junior paper was more stressful, maybe that 's because I had a full class load.
Overall, graduation project hasn 't been bad at all. As long as I manage my time well I think it will be a breeze. People make it out to be worse than it actually is and I 'm going to tell people it 's horrible as well. I think it 's a rite of passage to be honest. Hopefully the rest of the project will be as easy as the parts I 've already
