The term “Milagro” in the movie entitled “Milagro Beanfield War” is a Spanish word which means “miracle”. Miracle is such an interesting word which can convey different meaning to us. Some people do not believe in miracle as they feel that miracles are acts beyond the nature of laws, but some people do. Nevertheless, in this movie, miracle plays a vital role in helping the poverty-stricken Hispanic community in Mexico to fight against the aristocratic developer. The developer thought they’ll be able to develop the lands without much protest from the community due to its jurisdiction of the local water rights.
The third base coach was furious he was in the umpire’s face saying that he just wanted the game to end so he call the kid out. The play itself wasn’t the really cool part, it was that our team had pulled together and beat the team that had knocked us out of the tournament before in extra innings on a lucky hit. None of us knew it yet, but this was going to be a great year. We were almost like
Following a legion--The New Coach by Ned Linch “Tell us how you did it coach.” These words were forced into my face with a camera lens almost resting against my cheeks (page 395). The team did it along with some guidance from my assistant coach and the parents. I want to thank my assistant coach who is the baseball expert. He used to play in the minor leagues and the team loved him because of his dedication to their lives and his credibility at baseball.
It’s Friday night and the St. Rita football team is playing Mount Carmel in our homecoming game. Everyone is cheering and having a great time. The St. Rita football team is winning and everyone is exited. As I look around and see how much attention the football team is getting, and how when people think of St. Rita they think of our sports teams. How we have a great sports program.
The girls are between the ages of 11 (6th grade) through 14 (9th grade). There were thirteen girls on my team and only three of them have never cheered before. I didn’t feeling like we were performing that day when we got there, even through check-in. Once we were standing behind the curtains I became nervous and excited at the same time. I was one team away from performing.
It was an early Saturday morning in October, when the Panther girls softball team were playing for a third straight win. The two games before that flew by easily, we won both and were playing to be seeded first in the tournaments the next day. The crowd was full of excitement, parents yelling, and the coach yelling at the umpires, because of bad calls. We were nervous because it was a really good team that had 3 of the best players in the state. We had played them in two previous tournaments, and lost on the second day, so this time we were determined to beat them.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are one the most profound and well known NFL cheer teams today. They choose from the top dancers in the country to take in for their summer training and then 9 girls are eliminated and they are left with 37 of the countries best dancers to be a DCC. These girls go through so many obstacles and long paths to become a DCC, but they said they would do it over and over again because there is no greater
But, sure enough, the Tempo Blaze won 12-0. We are going to have to play Tempo Blaze. As soon as we got to the fields and starting to warm up we were all scared. They are all bigger, stronger, taller, and faster. They are in 7th grade, but 2 of them play Varsity for Tea High School.
At the end of the 2013 softball season, Kelsey Bradford found herself facing a possible state champion title along with a possible surgery. It was a night filled with nervous energy, happiness, and pain. “I will never forget the feeling that I had when I stepped up to the plate as the first batter of the game. I was so nervous but so excited at the same time,” Kelsey recalled. “At the first bat of the game, I made an in the park home run.
In 2013, I was selected to play on the only all girls baseball team in the largest tournament for twelve year olds in the United States, Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York. Baseball has always been a male dominant sport and because of that, I have always been praised for being the only girl on the all boys team. Since I was four years old, I had only played with boys. Everyone welcomed me and saw nothing wrong. However, as I grew older and know-it-all dads began coaching their sons, the same faces who welcomed me, turned their backs.
However, sometimes things happen and people have got to just keep pushing through it. My third year of softball my team was very proficient, strong, and confident. When it came time to go to our first tournament, we were unquestionably excited. We knew we were going to do excellent because our team was undefeated, and with our confidence, we could do anything we wanted.
The the book “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, has lots of challenges and conflicts throughout the whole story.
