Since this is my second time reading Of Mice and Men, I was able to look at it differently and more carefully than I was able to the first time; focusing more on the subtle things than on the main plot. What I found was that Steinbeck, the author of the book, does an impeccable job of describing how George and Lennie live. I loved how just by reading words I could get a vivid, clear, picture into my head. Although it took some time, I can now begin to understand and relate to the relationship between George and Lennie, who is mentally disabled, without having a relationship similar to it in my own life.
