This is shown when the cinema catches on fire and people rush out, but Toto goes against the crowd, to save Alfredo, who has passed out in the flaming building, which emphasises Toto’s love for him. The camera moves swiftly in the tracking shot with Toto, as he runs into the building, producing a fast tracking motion following him, creating intense tension and communicates to the audience the established strong bond between them. The close-up shot of Toto, when he enters the cinema, conveys his concern that is reviewed in his facial expression. In the scene when Toto returns from his military service, he goes to see Alfredo in his room. The use of mid-angle shot, where Toto sits next to Alfredo 's bed, conveys the close relationship between them. He asks Toto to take him to the beach. The use of the long-angle shot, as they walk near the sea, conveys the limitlessness of knowledge, that Alfredo wants Toto to go away and learn more. He says, "never come back", reminding Toto that he has to persevere, in order to achieve his dreams.
