The long-term goal of the current study is to determine the long-term effects of reminiscence therapy on depressive levels among individuals with mild dementia. The objective of this proposed study is to determine the specific effects of reminiscence therapy in improving depression symptoms and reducing depressive levels among adults with mild dementia in the long-term, especially young adults. Therefore, the expected outcomes will be sought to include a reduction of further cognitive decline and improve depressive symptoms of life amongst these patients. To accomplish the objective, the researcher will test the hypotheses through these Specific Aims:

Specific Aim 1: To determine the long-term effect of reminiscence therapy in reducing depressive levels in patients with mild dementia. Furthermore, the methodology of this proposed research is unique whence of data collection, data measurement, and the analytical methods designed to handle this novel data. In addition, it will utilize a highly reliable and valid measurement instrument to measure the levels of depression to include all ages.
