Is drinking a representation of masculinity? Or does the documentary, “Girls will be Boys” help depict us to believe this. Produced by Tara Brown where this documentary dove into the idea of girls being portrayed as “ladetts.” Young women are being misrepresented. As, irresponsible. Uncontrollable, party animal, who go out drinking every night. the blatant lying from the producers is causing serious backlash to the young girls in our society, this also affects how older people view young girls. The use of camera angles, film techniques and narration help convey us to believe this. So, do girls still drink as much as boys?

Why is this the case? Why is society throwing women down? These fragments displayed could have been utilised in a positive way. For instance, when Tara Brown establishes that Rose cares for people with disabilities. Why didn’t the documentary show this?
