Technology is constantly changing our world; it is persistently expanding and it is rapidly advancing. It's easier to depend on the use of technology. Our world revolves around the next big thing, the newest phone or hovercar. Technology is a gift: it saves us time and takes over difficult jobs, but it’s also leading to our downfall. In the book Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, he takes the world of tech to the next level. A world where technology is their life, books are banned, and there is a lack of responsibility. Furthermore, there is a decline in literature. Many Americans don’t remember the last time they read a book for fun. Why should they pick up a book? When do they have the internet at their fingertips? In Fahrenheit 451, they put down their books and never picked them back up. In many states, they have already banned many books that cause controversy, whether that be about the LGBTQ+ community, which makes up 41% of all book bans, to books involving race, which makes up 40% of all book bans (Bayron, “banned in the USA: the growing movement to banned books”).
