The topic that I chose for my research paper was human trafficking. From that I was able to narrow it down that I wanted to learn more about human trafficking that occurs inside of the United States. I thought about researching how many people in the US get sucked into human trafficking and become victims. But that didn't quite fit what I was looking for. I am honestly curious as to how human trafficking occurs. What is its path? I want to be able to understand exactly how human trafficking works. I am stuck when I come to an exact research question. I have learned so much about this industry from the victims perspectives and large statistics gathered by so many different organizations. But what i really want to know, is what exactly does human trafficking look like from the eyes of the pimp? How do they chose their victims? This was answered when I looked into different articles and researched further. They look for troubled people, run aways, teens, ect. But that isn't what interests me. I am trying to pinpoint a research question that answers what I am curious about but I am having trouble developing one. I feel like I am stuck in a pattern of questions like “How to prevent Human trafficking” or “How not to become a victim” even questions like “How to stop human trafficking.” These questions don't interest me though.
