Eucharistic Miracles: Is Jesus Really in the Eucharist?
Science and religion are often thought to contradict each other, in fact, they can support each other. While some people view the Eucharist as symbolic, there is strong evidence to suggest it truly is the Body of Christ. "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him" (Jn 6:56).What is the Eucharist and why is it so important to Catholics? What does it mean? The Holy Eucharist is a celebration that reminds us of several important events that happened towards the end of Jesus’ life. As priest was almost done distributing Holy Communion whilst celebrating mass, it was brought to his attention by a woman that there was a host on a candleholder. The priest placed it in water and stored it in the tabernacle. Eight days later, when the priest opened the tabernacle, he noticed that the Host had turned into bloodied flesh. He informed Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, today known as Pope Francis, and he ordered for the substance to be photographed. It grew significantly in size as well. Three years later, it was sent to be tested in New York. Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen. The scientists were not informed that the flesh had come from a host, this was because they didn’t want to change the way the scientist thought. The cardiologist stated, “The analyzed material is a fragment of the heart muscle found in the wall of the left ventricle close to the valves. This muscle is responsible for the contraction of the heart… The heart muscle is in an inflammatory condition and contains a large number of white blood cells. This indicates that the heart was alive at the time the sample was taken… They require a living organism to sustain them…What is more, these white blood cells had penetrated the tissue, which further indicates that the heart had been under severe stress, as if the owner had been beaten severely about the chest.” The blood type of the material was AB.
