Jesus of Nazareth is quite possibly the most influential person to ever walk the face of the Earth. He is the face of the biggest religion in the world, Christianity. Without the resurrection of Jesus, Christianity is utterly wrong. If Jesus did rise from the dead, it is something to be noticed. There is enough evidence and reason to support that Jesus rose from the dead. There are many people who believe that Jesus never existed, he was simply a myth. Most New Testament Scholars believe that Jesus was in fact a real person, but they do have different views about who he was. In 115 A.D. a Roman historian named Tacitus wrote “ Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilate..” ( source). This was written years after the death of Jesus proving that he was a real person and his name had spread throughout the Roman empire. He was in a state of delusion and he could have blacked out. The Romans, thinking he was dead, took him off of the cross and three days after his “death” he walked out of his tomb as though he had risen from the dead. This means that he would have had to gain enough strength and healing from the beating a few days before. It seems nearly impossible for someone to be healed of that type of pain and suffering without serious medical attention, unless Jesus actually did rise from the dead.
