Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most famous artists, inventors, and scientists known to man, still, over 500 years after his time. Though he left us with a limited number of completed paintings, he changed the worlds of art, science, mathematics, and engineering. Leonardo da Vinci was arguably the genius of the world of his time. He practically invented the helicopter and plane, along with a parachute in case the aircraft may fail (Living with Art 143). During the middle 1400s to the early 1500s, no man would have ever come up with things such as these besides a man with such great imagination and drive for intelligence as Leonardo da Vinci. As incredible and unexplainable as planning an aircraft approximately 400 years earlier than modern-day ones were invented may sound, these sketches are only some of the extraordinary ideas and works the man left the world.

When he was about 30 years old, Leonardo went to Milan and became the official artist to the Duke Lodovico Sforza. Under the Duke, da Vinci created one of his most known and one of the most world famous pieces, The Last Supper. In the painting, Jesus Christ is painted in the shape of a triangle, showing that he is the center of attention of the piece. Leonardo created this masterpiece on a dry wall with an oil/tempera mix because he wanted it to resemble an oil painting (Italian Renaissance). The painting depicts Christ with the Apostles eating what would be Jesus last meal the eve before his
