Machu Picchu is a magnificent place. The tropical mountainous forest, the beautiful valleys, and diversity between flora and fauna make this an amazing place to travel to. But Machu Picchu isn’t just known for the scenery around the site, it's known for its diverse culture, and the wildlife it contains. The history of this once great civilization has a great background behind it. Machu Picchu is the only remaining capital of the Inca Empire. Why is Machu Picchu such an important landmark? There is plenty of reasons why it's important, such as the impressions of Inca rituals, social structure, and their engineering. Machu Picchu gives historians clues of what the Inca civilization was like, how they acted, what they would eat, and maybe the answer to the 400 year old question, what happened to the Inca Civilization? Machu Picchu is a home to many exotic and endangered creatures such as; the dwarf brocket, the otter, long-tailed weasel, pampas cat and the vulnerable ocelot, boa, the Andean cock of the rock, and the Andean condor. Anyone could also explore and learn about the Inca culture with your own two eyes. In today’s time there are individuals who still carry out the Inca tradition around the temple. The setting and wildlife of Machu Picchu makes this place very unique and special, which is why it is a great tourist
