What is inspiration? That question went through my mind when my teacher told me about this project. It really got me thinking about who has inspired me that 's something you just don 't think of, but then I got to thinking and I thought my grandpa. Jud Reincke my grandpa was born and raised in Marshall where he stayed his whole life, married about 60 years,had three kids Mark,Mike,and my dad Norm Reincke. Jud later had four grand kids Matt ,Laurie ,my brother Trace,and me.
Michelangelo was a famous architect and artist during the Renessaince era in italy from 1475-1564, the classical renessaince architecture was usually high spherical domes , high pillars and columns and buildings having a large overall structure. Michelangelo often got his ideas for his work from Neoplatonic philosophy, and many critics attempt to make Neoplatonic interpretations of Michelangelo's works. Neoplatonism was a form of philosophy which lasted till the closing of the Platonic academy by Justinian I. This form of philosophy is heavily influenced by Plato’s teachings. Neoplatonism is the thought that there is a whole reality from a single principle.
A magnificent sculpture that depicts the Virgin Mary holding her only child, Jesus Christ, after his crucifixion. Michelangelo created this beautiful sculpture during the Italian Renaissance Period, in his early twenties, from the year 1489 to 1499. He wanted the sculpture not to represent death, but instead to sanctify the communion between man and God. He used only one slab of marble to construct the entire masterpiece. Michelangelo’s Pietà is the only piece of art he ever signed.
There are five men I believe are the most influential during the Renaissance. Giotto (1267-1337) was "the father of the Renaissance". He was a Proto-Renaissance painter whose work showed human emotion and feelings. Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was a painter, inventor, architect and scientist, and called the "Renaissance man". Two of his most famous paintings are the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Leonardo Da Vinci was born in April 15, 1452. He was born in a small farmhous outside of Vinci, Italy. His family was poor and lived a normal life as a child. When he became 14, he worked in a apprenticeship program with Andrea del Verrocchio (very popular at the time). From Andrea, Leonardo learned painting, sculpting, metalworking, drawing, and much more.

Leonardo’s dad, his name is Ser piero da Vinci he was a Florentine, and he was born out of wedlock to Caterina in barmaid. Leonardo died in May 2, 1519, place of death in Amboise, France. When Leonardo was five years old, he moved to live with father’s family in nearby vinci.
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was one of the greatest sculptors and painters of the Italian Renaissance period, which shaped him into being a brilliant architect. Michelangelo was a master of many disciplines, giving him a new and unique influence to the development of Western art. He often said that he was neither an architect nor a painter, he was both. He brought a quality in his architecture that distinguished the beginning of a transition, away from the ideals of classical art and into a more modern type of art. Architecture developed into Michelangelo's primary career in the last thirty years or so of his life.
Born during the Renaissance era or “Rebirth” as some may call it, Michelangelo usedthis critical change in time to his advantage. Michelangelo used his day to day life challengesand struggles to exemplify his masterpieces in sculpture and art. With his mother passing at ayoung age, his father working hard to provide for Michelangelo and his siblings, and theconstant relocation his family did, Michelangelo was had some obstacles to overcome at such ayoung age. I feel these and many other challenges he faced molded him into the artistic legendhe is to this present day. The man was so great he was also referred to as “The Divine One”.

Knowing that one person created this change makes me realize that my actions in this world do matter and that inspires me. If you could live for a day as another person, past or present, who would it be?
