In the mandate given by Jesus in Matthew 25, God is seated on his throne, separating those who he deems worthy for heaven and those who deserve hell in eternity. He tells the righteous that since they helped those in need, they would inherit the Kingdom of God, as they inadvertently were helping God himself. He then proceeds to explain that the people who ignored those in need, were unfit for heaven as they refused to help God, denying both solidarity and kinship. Matthew 25 parallels the point Pedro Arrupe tried to exhibit through his speech in 1973, "Men & Women for Others", which he gave to wealthy, powerful Jesuit alumni. In his speech, Arrupe explains how they should actively help those in need fighting against taking advantage of the poor and unjust laws.
Romans 12.6-8 also mentions prophecy but has other spiritual gifts listed. Serving is also considered ministering, such as with a deacon. There can be service of any kind that help those in need. Teaching is another gift that involves the word of God; this person must be able to explain the meaning, context and how Scripture fits into a person's daily life. The teacher must be able to be clear with his explanations especially with the doctrines of the faith.
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice
First and foremost, both Romans chapter 12 and the Sermon on the Mount tell Christians to love one another. The Sermon starts with the Beatitudes, which teaches the followers of Christ that those who seek a righteous and peaceful life will be
"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." John 15:12 I would like to tell you about a smaller, but lovely, sacred space close to my home, called the Knox United Church. It is a place in Calgary, Canada, where I live now, that is over 100 years old and known for its special features and peaceful attitudes of acceptance. It is a beautiful old church, a cornerstone of calm in our hectic downtown. The gentle looking, soft brown sandstone building rests serenely amongst the metal and glass of soaring modern high-rises, and is a beacon to the vulnerable in our harsh winters.
The story of the splitting of the rock is one where many lessons can be learned, and many themes are revealed. Overall, it is shown that God is almighty, and that he will always take care of his people. The value of this great miracle from God actually develops before said miracle happens. Although this event takes place in chapter 20 of the book of Numbers, the true value of themes and lessons learned start in Exodus. Many people are aware of the story where God makes water flow from the rock for the first time on Mt. Sinai.
(Matthew 20:26–28). It is sad commentary in the world today that we have many leaders but very few servants. Many people want to “exercise authority,” but only a few want to serve. We should have an attitude to be like Christ’s in that we recognize others better than ourselves and do nothing out of vanity or selfishness. Rather, we must look out for the interests of another, and this means every leader is a

Introduction The book I am going to critique is “Cross-Cultural Servanthood: Serving the World in Christlike Humility. The author is Duane H. Elmer (Ph.D., Michigan State U.) who is director of the Ph.D. program in educational studies and is the G. W. Aldeen Chair of International Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. Elmer starts the book by saying that Servanthood can be a burden and challenging. It is so true because just encountering people anytime can be overwhelming, but to tackle them in another culture is even more stressful to many.
Moses was a boy born to a Levi woman when they were under slavery from Egypt. It had been said that someone would rise and take over the kingdom so the Pharaoh ordered all the baby boys to be killed. Moses’ mother put him in a basket in the Nile River and he was taken in by the princess. One day when Moses was older, he was walking through the desert and there was a burning bush that was not actually burning, but just engulfed in flames. God spoke to Moses through the bush and told him that he wanted to use him to rescue his people from slavery.
There is no commandment greater than these.” God says that we should love one another, what God says, we should do. My generation will not be known for this, unless we make a difference in our world. I want to make a difference because I know I can help. I know that I can be the next Martin Luther King Junior.
Show respect to all people and grovel to none... Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a

Loving someone like a brother is a hard thing to do, especially if one does not even know that person. ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself,’ Luke 10:27 (New International Version) By becoming an advocate and helping a person, that person who became an advocate did something that God wanted. In fact, there is even a story from the Bible that shows what God wants people to do. This story is called The Good Samaritan. This story is about a man that got beat up.
The foundation inherited from Judaism and took for granted a view of the scripture as authoritative. No formal doctrine of the inspiration of scripture was initially pronounced as was the case in Islam, which holds that the Koran was handed down from heaven. Christianity generally believes: The Bible contains the word of God as communicated by the Holy Spirit. Their confession of the Bible importance differ considerably among various subdivisions.
