“This Is Our Story” by Ashley Elston surrounds the murder of 17 year old Grant Perkins, the dreamy, sweet boy Kate Marino fell in love with...or did she? Kate Marino’s senior year isn’t exactly how she expected it to be. No proms, no sorority groups, no boy drama -- but instead, the case of the River Point Boys being handed to the district attorney's office that she just so happened to intern for. The case ends up being the biggest news the small town of Belle Terre comes across. After it gets handed over to Kate’s boss, the aging Mr. Stone - who lacks the ability to see and read things properly - Kate is requested to be his eyes and ears. After an out of control party, five wealthy boys decide to go hunting in the woods of River Point. The five were drunk to a certain extent, but only four boys came back. After the death of Grant Perkins; Logan, Henry, John Michael and Shep all vow to remain silent to protect themselves and the killer amongst them -- and no one is giving themselves up.
