Should Birth Control Be Mandatory for Teens?
While some parents would not want their child on birth control, it would lower pregnancy risk for teens. Parents would not have to worry so much because their child would be protected in all ways possible. Having babies is a wonderful thing, but not so much for teenagers, they are at higher risk of getting pregnant. According to aecf.org/ rates have gone up. Almost one million teenagers become pregnant each year and about 485,000 give birth. In many situations the answer to keeping a relationship going is to have a good sex life. Most teen relationships are based on sex and they don't care about being protected.Birth control helps lower risk for teens to get pregnant.This would make sure that they are protected as much as possible, because they are gonna have sex regardless. Most teenagers do not like to tell their parents that they are sexually active. And if birth control was mandatory they would not have to worry as much. …show more content…

Birth control would be a good option for many teens 15-19 because studies shows thats the age group who are more likely to get pregnant in highschool. Many tennagers do not like to open up to their parents when they are having sex, therefore birth control should be mandatory. Mandatory birth control for teens would mean that pregnancy risk would lower and that teens can be more protected and wouldn't have to worry so much about getting pregnant
