In discussions of Abortion, one controversial issue has been is Abortion considered murder or is it considered rights for a women to be able to kill a fetus? On the one hand,the pro-life argues that abortion is murder and anyone who does an abortion is anti-life. On the other hand, pro-choice contends that abortion is a free choice and gives rights to the women. My own view is that abortion is murder and there's other options other than killing a innocent baby. However, there are exceptions in regards to rape.
Richard Mourdock argues that abortion shouldn’t be acceptable even if that woman is a rape victim. Mourdock said that a baby was a gift from god. “..even when life begins in a horrible situation like rape, it is something that God intended to happen.” Although I do agree with Mr. Mourdock, I feel like even if women get raped then it is not okay for them to get an abortion, because the women don’t put themselves out there to get raped and they shouldn’t have to have a baby and remember everyday that their baby is from someone who raped her. …show more content…

Filipovic believes that women have the choice to choose when they get pregnant, have babies and raise children. Filipovic states, “I am pro-choice because I believe that if we outlaw a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy, there is no legal argument against forcing a woman to terminate a pregnancy, or disallowing certain people from reproducing.” Basically she is saying that women have a right to abort a baby and that there is no legal document forcing the women to abort her baby.
