Between the years 1932 through 1933 Mexican Muralist Diego Rivera created what is said to be his most successful work ever. This particular mural is called “Detroit Industry”. The name was quite literal because the mural depicted just that, the Detroit industry. It is a fresco painting which means it is painted on fresh wet plaster. The fresco painting consist of twenty-seven panels on four different walls North ,South, East, and West.

Leonardo da Vinci was influenced by 3 people. Their names were Lorenzo de’Medici, John Argyropoulos and Andrea del Verrocchio. Lorenzo de’Medici was a powerful patron and payed Da Vinci for art work. John Argyropoulos is a humanists and taught Da Vinci.
In 1749 Father Junipero Serra and other Franciscan monks sailed to the new world, at the age of fifty-four he was assigned to established missions to be set in Upper California. Father Junipero Serra helped establish the first nine missions. Twelve other missions were founded by other fathers making a total of 21 missions in Alta California. The friars would start to teach the native americans about the christian religion. The ceremony of baptism was introduced which meant that the indians would no longer practice their own religion and would now be christians.
At the age 10 he went to study are at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City. Mexico City is 4 hours and 51 minutes driving from Guanajuato Mexico where he was born. Diego Rivera was a larger than life figure who spent significant periods of his career in Europe and the U.S. in addition to his native Mexico.
