The rising cost of college tuition is a huge issue these days, not to mention the amount of debt a typical college graduate is burdened with repaying after spending years working hard to achieve that goal. The majority of college students don’t think that they alone can affect change in order to leave themselves with less financial responsibility. Gathering more like minded individuals like myself is the first step to achieve a more successful and fuller college education experience without the added on daily stress and worrying that goes along with it. 1 That is why I am interested in creating the group (NOCASH), or National Organization of Collegiate American Students Needing Help.
2. Adhering to individuals that have the same issue as I am not the biggest problem, but finding motivated students that are willing to spend the time and effort in order to achieve their ultimate goals are. Lets be frank, as an 18 year old kid walking on campus for the first time, most of them aren’t walking around thinking about how much college actually costs. It is hard to even understand at our age where this money even goes to. Reaching out to millennial organizations, business leaders, and members of the higher education community who already understand this issue is a great way to not only get support but further spread your mission statement. Activism on campus is also a big way to spread your ideas to the student body and gain notoriety. If you invest the time, you won’t have to necessarily spend as much money in order to be successful. I think the National Organization of Collegiate American Students could be a huge tool for many students in order to help them see what their financial future may
