This battle was both a failure and a success for the Confederates. Bragg’s main plan was to cut off Rosecrans’ main line of communication. This plan was not accomplished by any means. Bragg’s attack caused Rosecrans’ front to be centered around his line of communication (Nashville Pike). Rosecrans’ army, the Army of Cumberland, lost many more troops than Bragg.
Xenophobia is the fear or hatred of foreign people or ideologies, and is the forefront theme in the short story The Glass Roses by Alden Nowlan. Deeper than the idea of unsolicited hatred in society, is the idea of support and understanding which is heavily influenced by the aforementioned prevailing theme: xenophobia.

Braddock and his family in the film “Cinderella Man” struggled and overcame challenges brought on by the Great Depression in the 1930’s. The Great Depression was the most darkest and long-lasting downturn in American history. And it all began after the stock market crash in October 1929.
The speaker’s grandmother is originally presented in a way that causes the ending to be a surprise, saying, “Her apron flapping in a breeze, her hair mussed, and said, ‘Let me help you’” (21-22). The imagery of the apron blowing in the wind characterizes her as calm, and when she offers to help her grandson, she seems to be caring and helpful. Once she punches the speaker, this description of her changes entirely from one of serenity and care to a sarcastic description with much more meaning than before. The fact that the grandmother handles her grandson’s behavior in this witty, decisive way raises the possibility that this behavior is very common and she has grown accustomed to handling it in a way that she deems to be effective; however, it is clearly an ineffective method, evidenced by the continued behavior that causes her to punish the speaker in this manner in the first place.
By finally including one of the most vulgar words in the english language, Edelman declares verbally that she has hit the last straw and there must be a compromise to solve her co-parenting anger. Understanding that the Anderson and Jeffers family is an interracial family they are challenged with many difficulties and differences. As the man of the house, Granddaddy Cain comes home with “this bloody thing on his shoulder,” which, would become dinner for the family that night. With his “black oilskin . . . [and] his great white head,” Granddaddy Cain could intimidate anyone unwanted by Granny. Granddaddy Cain stood "tall and silent like a king," and when he "holds his hand out," the cameraman is confused, or presumably intimidated. After Smilin whispered to "Camera," disparaging the family, as if, "they was in the jungle or somethin and come upon a native that don't speak the language"(3).
How the author develops the theme of maturity comes through the development of compassion in the short story “Marigolds” by telling of the incident of “... the moment childhood faded and womanhood began.” (Marigolds 59). We see that before the incident occurred, Lizabeth, the main character and the one in this story who experiences the change of maturity, vaguely knew that their community was poor due to its lack of radios, newspapers, magazines, and other things in the little dusty community they lived in.(Marigolds 4). The Federalist Papers contains eighty-five essays that were written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay under their pen name of “Publius.” The Federalist Papers were written to urge the citizens of New York to ratify the new United States Constitution. Coriolanus Takes place in Rome, the play is five acts long and it all starts due to group of people believing that Caius Martius is their enemy. With him dead, they believe they will get their necessity which in this case is grain. Menenius goes and speaks to them about what they want and why they are rebelling for it.
