There have been many shows over the years that portray inappropriate trends and have short skits. Some of these shows that have various skits are “Family Guy,” “American Dad,” “Robot Chicken,” etc. “Robot Chicken” is a show with a series of pop-culture parodies and uses stop-motion animation of toys and dolls. The creators of this series are Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. This stop-motion series is broadcasted on a channel called, “Adult Swim.” There has been some controversy with this series and other shows similar to this. There has been controversy around these shows since they tend to show a lot of inappropriate things that are being shown. In the series, it tends to show different ways it is inappropriate like talking about sexual fantasies and/or showing nudity. The characters would say improper words that show be censored. According to IMDb, it says, “Some very crude references to sex are made such as to masturbation, intercourse, prostitution, strippers, pornography, and fetishes. There is crude and sexual humor throughout the show,”(1). Children should not be watching this show due to the inappropriate phrases of sexual intercourse and nudity. Parents should monitor what their children should be watching, the children should not be introduced to these “trends” until they are older. The series is made more for adults than for children since their sense of humor is very different. The show talks more about adult trends and makes sexual jokes. Younger viewers would not get the style of humor. According to Lucy Maher, “While it’s visually entertaining, it’s violent and irreverent, and kids and tweens probably won’t get its style of humor,”(2). The creators of the show made this series for adults since most of the material is inappropriate. According to Antonia Peacocke, “Still afraid of causing a commotion, though, Fox had the cartoon censored and irregularly scheduled; as a result, the ratings fell so low that 2002 saw its second cancellation (Weinraub),”(301). Most shows like “Family Guy” and “Robot Chicken” were moved to show at irregular times for younger viewers' sake. The creators recommend that younger viewers do not watch this program which is also why it is shown later in the night when children should be
