When I first started my job as the admitting supervisor for the hospital I work at now, I took a lot of manager classes that was offered by our corporate office. One such class was called conflict resolution. This class was focused on how to best resolve conflict before it escalated. The Rogerian argument is a tool we use often to help is such situations. One situation that arises a lot if when a patient is taken to recovery after a successful surgery. It is the hospitals policy that a patient isn’t allowed visitors in recovery until after the patient has been assets from the surgery.
