Most Courageous Character Courage is when you do something that is very brave that someone else might not do.Cassie proved her courage against Lillian Jean, standing up for her little brother Little Man, and standing up for T.J. even when he does something bad.Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor I picked Cassie for the most courageous character, because she stood up for her brother just because the book was dirty. Her and Little Man got wiped.Cassie’s actions proved that she would do anything for her family, her friends, and at the end of the book she cries for the land and for T.J. because he will probably will go to the chain gang. Would you be able to stand up to a white kid that bullied you but you could yell in their face to release out the anger? Cassie Logan at the market in Strawberry had to apologize to Lillian Jean Simms for bumping into her. But Cassie would not apologize to her, because Lillian Jean ran into her so she would not apologize. She walks out onto the street and stumbles into Lillian Jean, Jeremy's sister. She and her father push Cassie out in the street, trying to force her to apologize. Cassie is furious when Big Ma makes her apologize.
