It relates to how they were treated because whites and blacks hated each other but they couldn’t drive each other out. The novel “Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry” is about a family going through rough times like some on trying to take their land but the logans didn’t let that happen. She also went door to door telling p people not to shop at the Wallace store and told them that they could shop in Vicksburg but some said no but the people who said yes needed someone to back their credit and Mama told them about Mr. Jamison and once they heard about that they were very happy and Papa did the same thing that Mama did but he did it to the people that said no. This showed a huge amount of courage because it is the biggest store in the town and she is boycotting it. Another character is Stacey he has shown a lot of courage like when he had the idea to make a hole in the road so the bus would stop splashing them. Another courageous thing he did is when Papa got shot he got the horse tied on a tree so he could go back and help Papa. Also, he helped T.J when he got beaten and he needed someone to help him get home. Lastly, Stacey stayed back to see what was going to happen when the nightmen were there to lynch T.J. That showed a lot of courage because he helped all of them.In the poem “Friends in The Klan the narrator tells the story of a courageous professor who stood up to injustice and the KKK.
