For many years, Romans have had societal advancements that have impacted today's people. What advances has Roman made for the healthcare system? Roman scientists have always been peculiar subjects. All from their Roman medical department from cures such as crocodile meat, sea foam, and soaked chameleons to heal effortless ailments. Today’s doctors use Roman scientific teachings to their advantage, to mend people in present.

Earliest, the Roman Scientists. Roman scientists have made many discoveries and significant advancements—for example, Roman surgeon Galen. Galen was a greek physician and philosopher. One of his most famous discoveries was his discovery that arteries carry blood. "The heart and the liver. These are the central organs in Galen’s physiology, responsible respectively for" (N) Along with being the most widely known greek physician, Galen wrote and authored books that are still intact from centuries ago. Adding onto his career, Galen was an author. Galen’s practices today often can be seemed as admirable, yet dangerous.

How did Romans necessarily get all this knowledge? Science. Their practices in science were not as unusual as their treatments though. Roman’s practices in science seemed logical, and they helped modern-day doctors.
