Robotic, odd,or repetitive behavior/speech is another common symptom that often characterizes autism spectrum disorder. Romeo often times displays this symptom through his speech patterns and behavior. This is visible in act 3, scene 1, line 71 right after Mercutio dies. This line shows every facet of the symptom; it's extremely repetetive, robotic, and odd. These patterns continue in what little speech Romeo has throughout the rest of the play. Because of this, scattered all through the play, it became clear that Romeo had yet another sign of autism spectrum disorder.
The next and most clear sign of Romeo having aspd is odd obsession/weird attachment and fixation, which is evident throughout the play with Romeo's damaging obsession with Juliet. Romeo’s unwillingness to part with her, his strong emotional attachment within a short period of time, and his loss of will to live when he thinks she is dead, is evident of Romeo possibly having Autism spectrum disorder. While it may seem unconventional to consider a person an object of attachment, Romeo didn’t seem to view Juliet as quite a person. His strong attachment to her, and inappropriate social interaction with her is an obvious sign of having aspd, though it might not be strikingly
