Poor decisions are present in many places in the play of Romeo and Juliet, especially in the role of Friar Lawrence. One of the major decisions that later prove to be of bad judgement was his choice to willingly marry Romeo and Juliet, in absolute discretion other than notifying a select few. This is not only seen as a foolish move by the audience, but also by Friar Lawrence himself as he states “These violent delights have violent ends/ And in their triumph die, like fire and powder” (II, vi, 9-10). Here, it is shown that “like fire and powder”, Friar Lawrence himself predicts that this marriage will end in an explosion of sorts.
However, that is not the case. Romeo and Juliet’s irresponsible decisions were responsible for what happened to them because they could have fought to change their fate. It was their irresponsible decisions that caused all the losses. As said by Stephen A. Diamond, “There is a time to resolutely accept fate, and a time to furiously fight it. The responsibility is ours,” (Doc E).
When in a relationship individuals will make decisions that are foolish, to sustain and keep their relationships alive. Romeo and Juliet are two prime examples of individuals who make foolish decisions; Juliet was willing to never see her family again, or to even die rather than not being able to be with Romeo. These characters embody the human craving to live within a committed relationship, although their want to live within a relationship leads them towards their inevitable deaths. Individuals fawning to live within a committed relationship will cause individuals to take part in foolish actions just to live within their relationships. All individuals are in control of their actions, but some actions will consequently damage
The worst decision of the story is them, continuing to pursue each other after they meet at the dance. After meeting at the dance, Romeo and Juliet continue to pursue each other. Romeo speaks to Juliet, and tells her “I take thee at thy word call me but love and I'll be new baptized. Henceforth I never will be Romeo” while he is under her balcony. (Shakespeare 2.2.50)

No action is free of consequences, and the decisions made throughout an individuals life can make or break the following course of events.
In William Shakespeare’s tragic play, “Romeo and Juliet,” someone’s actions set off a chain reaction of tragedies. The devastating ending of the impulsive decision asks the question: who is responsible for the star-crossed lover’s tragic fate? In “Romeo and Juliet” Friar Lawrence’s rushed plans, lack of backup ideas, and poor communication with Romeo lead to the tragic end for the young couple. Friar Lawrence’s actions set off a chain of reactions of tragedies as his weak plan with the fake death potion leads to misunderstandings. For example, in Act 4, Scene 1, lines 70-72, Friar Lawrence proposes a plan that later leads to the tragic event, “I do spy a kind of hope, which craves as desperate which we would prevent.”
We all make bad decisions everyday. For example, watching TV when you have a bunch of homework to do, or playing video games all day instead of going outside to play. Now even though these are bad decisions, they don’t really seem to affect us long term. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, so many bad decisions are made that it leads to the death of two young teenagers that are in love, even though their families are bitter enemies. Throughout the play, their decisions keep getting worse and worse.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a play about two star-crossed lovers; all the events that occur lead to more disappointment and it definitely does not obtain a joyous ending. The main two characters seem to have incorporated themselves into the situation. However, I choose to believe that Romeo was a bigger leading cause to the whole complication. Romeo is to blame for the upsetting events throughout the story of Romeo and Juliet. As the older counterpart of the relationship between himself and Juliet, he should have had enough knowledge and common sense to keep them out of trouble. His player-like nature did not help either, as this shows he is impulsive and cannot keep himself out of troubling situations. Evidence of this is shown when Romeo falls out of love with his first interest, Rosaline, and falls in love with Juliet on first sight. First off, Romeo encouraged the marriage of himself and the rival family’s daughter (Juliet), when he knew there would be severe consequences for.
The lovers were destined to fall in love and die, and they were of houses that had been cursed by a dying Mercutio. The hurried time span of the story forced all of the events to happen much too quickly for the characters to be able to make reasonable decisions. The numerous times the characters were put into coincidental situations led to a series of events that concluded with the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. For all of these reasons, the blame of who caused the deaths of the star-crossed Romeo and Juliet can be put on no one other than Fate. Throughout the year, we have read many books that have had characters make decisions that can affect their lives. Some of those decisions were wise, others affected their lives. The one book that comes to mind is Romeo and Juliet. This comedy had more life lessons and decisions that any other book we read had. Romeo and Juliet was a story that had many decisions made.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a tragic story about two couple who fall in love and their parents are hated each other, which means that they have to find a way to be with each other. Who should we be blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet? Romeo is the one to be blame, he always made a bad decisions and he could have made a better decisions which lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet. The first evidence is when the Capulet family is going to have a party and want the servant to sent the invitation to the town of Verona.
Juliet When a person gets attached to someone and something terrible happens to that person it can cause emotions to run high and they can start to make bad decisions. Juliet did when Romeo killed himself. Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare is a tragedy, but a lot of people mistake it for a love story, but it really isn’t. There is a lot of things at the beginning that makes people think it’s a love story but once you get closer to the end terrible things start happening. Juliet, one of the main protagonists, is a girl who falls in love very easily as we see when she meets Romeo and gets very attached to him, leading to her death.

Throughout the play Romeo and Juliet acted like unknowledgeable children. This ended up possibly causing Romeo and Juliet to make a lot of bad decisions. For one, Romeo went to the Capulet’s dinner party even though he knew that their family hated his. Even though he recognized the intense tension he ignored that fact and still went. Romeo also had a sudden impulse full of anger and killed Tybalt which led to him being banished from Verona.
