Love Can Be Your Worst Enemy The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. This story is a beautiful love story that shows that love does not always end up working out in the end. Likewise in this story, they end up dying. There are many events leading up to their sad conclusions like dumb fights and a history of dislike. They are put in situations that require hard and smart choices to be made and it does not end up in their favor. Some people could not get the job done and some did not make a foolproof plan but in the end the only twotoo blame are those who fell in love. Romeo is to blame because of him disobeying the princes orders, his inability to communicate effectively wit juliet, and rushing into her tomb when she died. When the prince told him to stay away from her and her family he kept on pressing and trying to find a way to talk and get close to her even when he knew there would be consequences ( Act 1 Scene 1). When he rushed to her tomb not having a plan or checking with anyone that was a dumb thing to do. He should have planned before and not just went there because that could have saved their plan from going completely bad and the friars may have been able to speak to him about the plan( Act V Scene 1 and 3). Juliet is to blame because she rushes into marriage, keeps the marriage a secret, and takes the poison without Romeo knowing. They rushed into a marriage without having a plan of what to do if their families find out or how to tell them about it. Which led to them having to make many hard decisions towards the end (act 2 scene 2). She also took the poison without letting her husband know which led to their whole death scene at the end and caused most of the drama (Act IV Scene 1 and 3)) Their failure to communicate and be smart led to their downfall. They made many decision that just came back to bite them in the end of the story. Their were adults involved that could have advised and helped them more but Romeo and juliet are the ones who made the decisions.They both made many mistakes and its hard to tell who is more to
