Juliet When a person gets attached to someone and something terrible happens to that person it can cause emotions to run high and they can start to make bad decisions. Juliet did when Romeo killed himself. Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare is a tragedy, but a lot of people mistake it for a love story, but it really isn’t. There is a lot of things at the beginning that makes people think it’s a love story but once you get closer to the end terrible things start happening. Juliet, one of the main protagonists, is a girl who falls in love very easily as we see when she meets Romeo and gets very attached to him, leading to her death. When Juliet meets Romeo, who is a Montague, at the party she falls in love with him very quickly. Juliet gets married not even a week after knowing the boy, which shows that Juliet fell in love with a person she barely knew. She is impulsive in some of the decisions she makes and is headstrong as her father puts it. The more in love Juliet becomes with Romeo the more danger evolves, which leads to Juliet and Romeo’s death. Juliet meets Romeo at the party and she doesn’t know he’s a Montague. Even if she did know he was a Montague, I think she still would have fell for him because when she does find out he’s a Montague her love for Romeo does not change. “My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me That I must love a loathed enemy” (Shakespear 61). Juliet loved him even when their families were enemies. This shows that she is a person who doesn’t judge people for who they are and loves them
