Can your parents and society always dictating your life have a negative impact on you and your decisions? Romeo and Juliet couldn't be in love the way they wanted to without someone interfering. Romeo and Juliet’s love was dictated by everyone else in their lives until the very end. Romeo and Juliet’s love was constantly being interfered with by the people around them. Their family’s hatred for one another also played a big part in their love and why it ended the way it did. From the beginning, Romeo and Juliet’s relationship/love was doomed due to their family feud. Romeo and Juliet’s love caused them to make impulsive decisions which is why their love ended the way it did with them both dying. In the play (No Fear Shakespeare) (Act 2 Scene 6). Friar Lawrence married Romeo and Juliet even after only knowing each other for two days. Another example is in (Act 5, Scene 3). In this scene, Romeo and Juliet both decide that if one dies then they both must die. On pgs (267-275), through these pages, you can see the great lengths that Romeo and Juliet went to be with each other no matter the circumstances. Romeo drinks the poison to be with his dear Juliet who made him feel a way no other girl could. Romeo said, “ Come bitter poison, come unsavory guide! You desperate pilot, let's crash this sea-weary ship into the rocks! Here’s to my love!”. She sees what Romeo drank to die and tries to kiss him hoping that there is still poison on his lip that will hopefully kill her. “ Oh, noise? Then I'll be quick. Oh, good, a knife! My body will be your sheath. Rust inside my body and let me die. ( she stabs herself with Romeo's dagger and dies)”. Overall this shows that Romeo and Juliet were so consumed by their love for each other that they couldn't bare to live without each other. (Act 2, Scene 3) ( Pg 103) It shows how Friar Lawrence agrees to marry them. “(Romeo)The girl I love now returns my love. The other girl did not love me”. (Friar Lawrence) “ Oh, she knew very well that you were acting like you were in love without really knowing what love means. But come on, inconsistent young men come with me. I’ll help you with your secret wedding. This marriage may be lucky enough to turn the hatred between your families into pure love.” Agreeing to marry Romeo and Juliet was one of the dumbest decisions even though he was only trying to help Romeo and Juliet resolve the family feud. As well as when he gave Juliet the potion without informing Romeo what their plan was. Since Romeo was not informed that Juliet was going to fake her death so that they could live happily ever after his plan was made clear which caused both of them to die stupidly. In the (No Fear Shakespeare) Juliet says “ Give me the vial. Give it to me! Don't talk to me about fear. ( Friar Lawrence ) “ he gives her the vial. Now go along on your way. Be strong and successful in the decision. I’ll send a friar quickly to Mantua with my letter for Romeo. This shows that Friar Lawrence was only trying to help, but his helping went wrong. The friar never delivered the message to Romeo so both of their lives were ended due to someone just trying to
