Romeo and Juliet were one of the most iconic and disastrous relationships in history. They met each other and were married within that same week. Romeo and Juliet’s relationship was destined for failure. Romeo and Juliet were from two rival houses (Romeos Montague and Juliet’s Capulet). They were led to their deaths through the actions of friar Lawrence, Capulet and Tybalt. These characters were the leading causes of Romeo and Juliet ending their life for love. The whole incident was put into action when Tybalt noticed Romeo and decided to tell his uncle Capulet that an enemy was in their midst. On page 62 it states “uncle, this is a Montague, our foe, a villain that is hither come in spite to scorn at our solemnity this night.” Tybalt hated Romeo just because of his family name. Tybalt tries to talk down on Romeo to his uncle to try and have Capulet kick Romeo out. Tybalt despises Romeo and tries his best to have Romeo escorted out of the party. …show more content…
Capulet threatens and yells at Juliet to convince her that marrying Paris is the right idea. On page 200 it states “hang thee, young baggage! I tell thee to church o’ Thursday or never look me in the face. Speak not, do not answer me” Capulet constantly threatens Juliet and won’t allow her to tell her side of the story, that she doesn’t want to marry Paris.
