In the play of romeo and juliet, the one person to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet would be Tybalt. In line (80) , page (995) it states “Tybalt under Romeo’s arm, thrusts Mercutio in, and flies with his men.” There is where all the problems started Tybalt. After Romeo finds out that Tybalt was the one who killed his friend, he kills Tybalt in the fight they had. Romeo was sent away into Mantua, Italy and the whole problem with Juliet started.

Friar Laurence, a priest that marries the lovers and helps with Juliet’s plan, Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers and protagonists, and the two families of Romeo and Juliet, Montagues, and Capulets, are all somewhat to blame for the death of the lover. Despite this, many ponder if the lovers should be at fault as they are the ones that commit suicide.

The major causes of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths can be traced to sorrow, an emotion that is a reflect of an action that can lead someone to commit a regrettable decision. Romeo and Juliet’s love is like a flower bud in the summer air, that may turn out to be a beautiful flower by the next time they would meet again. Juliet expresses that sorrow by saying “Good night, good night!/ Parting is such sweet sorrow,/ That I shall say goodnight till it be morrow” (2.2.123-124). Juliet felt that way because she is saying goodbye to Romeo, not knowing that beauty is coming their way.
